Ascension Parish is certainly a family-oriented area of Louisiana. There are many things to do for those of us with school aged children, from organized team activities to movie theatres to sno-ball stands. However, since everyone has to eat, I can think of nothing that requires more “full” participation than dining out! For those families with younger children, this can be quite a challenge, either with regards to cost, keeping those kids occupied or entertained, or all of the above. Well, The Maria Thorn Team at eXp Realty did a little research to help those with little ones that are looking for a dining experience that satisfies those needs. Below are five restaurants in Ascension Parish that host “Kids Nights”.
Rotolo’s Pizzeria offers a kid’s day on Mondays, and that includes lunch and dinner. Children 12 and under are invited to make his or her own pizza at the family table, have the cooks in the kitchen cook the pizza and return to the family table for consumption! The cost is a mere $1.99 per pizza per child. Let your youngster be as creative as ever with the toppings of choice!
Another Italian food option is Louis DeAngelos. During dinner hours of 5:30 – 8:00 on Tuesdays, a balloonist is available to entertain the children. Kids are allowed to also make their own pizza, the price is the regular menu price
If Italian is not your thing, The Maria Thorn Team has some south-of-the-border options for you. Las Palmas offers an all-day kids eat free on Tuesdays. A clown/balloonist/face painter is on site at 6:00 pm. Kids also eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée, i.e. one adult entrée = one free kids meal.
What happens if Las Palmas is packed, you still want Mexican AND a kid’s special? Try Izzo’s! On Mondays from 4:00 pm to close, buy 1 adult meal and get up to 3, yes THREE kids meals for $1 each! Now that’s a bargain!
Finally, if none of those interest you, you can always try Sno’s Seafood and Steak. On Tuesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Sno’s has a magician/balloonist and offers one free kids meal with the purchase of one adult entrée.
